How is the temperment of a Demeril Boa?
I am thinking about getting a Demeril boa, as one of my first snakes. Are these snakes calm? or will it end up killing me when its an adult?

Haha, no way...they are sweeties. I have two and they are THE calmest snakes I own. They are as easy to handle as my rosies are. Watch out on feeding day though. Not that they are mean, just aggresive eaters.

I have two dumerils. Both are a bit flighty, but are not aggressive. Excellent eaters though.
No, a 40g tank is not big enough. Plan on a 4'x2' cage. They can top 7 or 8 feet. This is my 7'+ female dum.
