IBD Boa's to Ball Pythons
I own both Ball Pythons and BCI. The BCI is in a separate room of the house due to the risk of IBD to the Ball Pythons. Is this overkill by using two different rooms or can they all be in the same room (different enclosures of course) without running the IBD risk?

Re: IBD Boa's to Ball Pythons
Do you know the history of the BCI? Boas can be carriers of IBD without showing symptoms for a long time. They can also live with IBD after it becomes symptomatic for quite a while, while IBD is always fatal to pythons. If you have had the boa since it was a baby (and it looks to be full grown or close to it) and it shows no symptoms of IBD than I would think its safe.

Re: IBD Boa's to Ball Pythons
I suspect It should be okay to have them in the same room, I am the second owner, the first owner I know very well and when I got the snake I also found out that we go to the same herp vet so all records from hatchling to 3 years old were turned over to me. The only problems he has ever been treated for was mites and a small nick on his tail. Has had checkups every 6 months since hatchling with no problems.
