Great Job!! Gobbled it right up! Let the growing begin. I am always so surprised to receive a snake from a mouse feeding owner and then I start feeding them rats OMG I have had a couple snakes gain over 100 grams in ONE MONTH. Like the posters above said great accomplishment and good luck with your BP.

I would definitely wait a couple of days before messing in her enclosure at all. At least 48 hours after her eating. Very glad to hear she took a rat for ya!

Just curious, I bought my CB Ball from a breader and he was always on rats from what he said. They just were much smaller when our BP was smaller. He was born in October of 2005 and I bought him in January of 2006 and he was eating hoppers(rats) and never had a problem. Just curious... why do owners start out with mice when there are the newborn rats too?

Rat pups or rat pinks or whatever can be pretty big sometimes. A rat pup could weigh as much as a small adult, and for some hatchlings, can be pretty big for a first meal.
In my experience with baby bps, small hoppers are a great size to get the ball rolling.

she is from an Aug. 2005 clutch. the surprising thing about her is how small she is for her age.. and not small length wise.. but girth wise. she was almost hald of her brother whom i was comparing her to when i got her.
