Re: You gotta see this!
the kangaroo is just Mother Nature....but heaven help the poor thing if it was to be attacked. I hope it had a nice hide somewhere CLOSE!!!
But the 2nd is just WRONG!!!!! What's to protect that kid if the snake were to bite or constrict???? Yeah, they're our pets, but they're WILD, UNDOMESTICATED ANIMALS!!!!!!
That is just irresponsible and STOOOOOOPID of the parents.

Re: You gotta see this!
That second pic was taken in Thailand. There are a ton of families that have big burms and retics in the more touristy areas, mainly up north, and charge people to have their picture taken with them. They are some of the tamest snakes I've ever handled, and I love that picture, but I still don't think I would let a kid take a bath with a 10+ foot snake no matter how tame it was.

Re: You gotta see this!
Maybe I'm wrong, but it looks more like what is called a kangaroo rat. The tail doesn't really look thick enough for a kangaroo. Also the ground litter tends to make me think that the snake isn't all that large. A picture of a smaller snake consuming a joey or large kangaroo rat would look huge in a cropped picture.

Re: You gotta see this!
That series of pics is definitely a scrub python eating a macropod, probably a wallaby. I'm not sure exactly what type of scrub, maybe someone that knows Morelia better can ID it properly. Pretty amazing, wonder how long it actually took to swallow....
