3 of my normal Royals -Burnt , CF05 and my male

Ok this is my CF05 female that took forever to get feeding, she is eating small- medium mice every couple of weeks. Have tried more frequent she just does not want to know. Also tried rats which she takes once in a blue moon. Anyway here she is all 325g of her!!!

Ok now heres the well publicised burnt royal of mine. She is doing soo well now she has put on 270g now since january which in the scheme of royals does not seem a lot but considering how she came to me I am over the moon, she is still a fair bit underweight, she is around 850g now where her length and head say she should be nearer 1200g, but we are definitely going in the right direction. She missed her last feed this week but she did eat 4 items 10 days ago, so I am not overly bothered! Anyway here she is

Last but by no means least is my male he is eating really well on mice, also is not a big fan of rats I keep tring rats first which he ignores, then I try an XL mouse which he massacres, sometimes he will strike a rat once he has had his mouse! Anyway without further ado here he is

Anyway thanks for looking sorry for being a post monster!

    Peter

    I post monsters!

All three look great! I especially love the markings on the burnt girl! Maybe you should name her Phoenix!

And your mouser doesn't look like he's starving to death by any means! I'd say if he wants mice, let him have mice and don't stress over switching him!

Great pictures! Thanks for sharing them!

I agree with Robin, they are all lovely looking and I wouldn't worry about switching over to rats either. They can do quite fine on multiple mice if some of Adam's large female breeders are any indication lol.

I continue to stand in awe of you Peter. That rescued female that was such a mess just astounds me. You've done wonders with her! How's her temperment considering all she's been put through?

    Hi Franky

the burnt royal who I wil re-name as Phoenix I think is superb, wonderful temperament, and is doing soo well! What I would love to do is maybe next year or the year after is to make her a mum, so her life is fulfilled. It would then have put meaning to all the troubles she has had to put up with before she came to me!

Thats a snake never leaving me she will stay mine till she dies!!!

The ultimate thing for her, to not only survive but to thrive and breed. What a wonderful plan for her Peter! I look forward to someday seeing your posts showing her eggs/offspring.

We're like that about our Saoirse, though she in no way was as badly off as your Phoenix but with her past, no matter if she ever breeds or not....Saoirse is here for always. Just something about her extremely gentle temperment and knowing she was wild and has gone through so many homes before us, well she's stolen our hearts completely.

Yaaaayyy! You're going to name her Phoenix! I just thought that was so appropriate for what she's been through, figuratively rising from the ashes and being re-born. You said "re-name" her - what did you have her named?

    Robin,

That's a beautiful name, and it certainly does fit her. Poor baby!
