    Feeding question...

I am going to start feeding my BP full grown mice and I was wondering what route I oughta take. I'm not going to do live, but I'm not sure if I should buy them frozen and or buy them live and prekill them for him. I'm fine with either way, but I was wondering if there are any drawbacks to either method. Buying them live is certainly cheaper...

    Thanks,
    -James

I would say to do whatever is easiest for you. If you can find them locally and humanely prekill than do it. If its easier for you to have a freezer full of mice, that works as well.

By humane you mean not smacking its little mouse head against the counter more than once?

    Re: Feeding question...

One thing I was wondering; my BP doesn't constrict the dead prey, he just kinda gulps it down. Will this be a problem when feeding live prey?

I'd like to try feeding him a live mouse, but I'm not sure how great of an idea that is.

    Any suggestions?

    Re: Feeding question...

Don't worry about it. It is instinctual for them to kill live prey. I have a boa who I wouldnt dare feed from a forceps. I just throw the rats in and she sniffs them and starts gulping down.
