Ouch. Ophelia's never bitten me. I think that's my problem. I'm so used to her docile nature that his bite shocked me more than anything.

Good for you Robin! It is kinda interesting getting bitten by an animal for the first time....it takes away the 'not knowing' of what it feels like, etc.

I have been bitten a bunch...by all kinds of different stuff....but never anything "picture worthy". If I ever get a nasty one, you better bet I will have some pics

Yeah, actually it was pretty interesting. First it was she bit me!!! What was that for?

Then it was like, hey, hey, hey, calm down - let's get those panties un-twisted little lady!

Then hey! you got me already, you don't need to do it again, here's your tub - now take a chill pill, missy!

Then the examining of the hand and going "ok, so that's what it feels like - cool!!!" LOL

    Re: Snake Bite

Whenever I mention to my husband that I fed Kisasa, or weighed her, or just took her out to "play"....he always asks "Did she bite you???" For goodness sake! The answer is always "no"....but I have no illussions that one of these days I may have to say "yes." The thing is, I don't really care...if it happens, it happens. It can't compare to the dog attack I had as a kid!

All that being said (and I don't know why I'm rambling on about this...sorry!) I'm quite sure when that first bite happens that it will be an adreneline rush that must be discussed amongst friends here who understand! LOL Congrats, Robin...not on getting bit, but on handling it so well!!!
