Can't believe it!

Karl, while supportive of my hobby and encouraging of my interest in breeding, has never shown particular interest in the snakes - he's never even held one - unless it's in a deli cup - or touched one.

And many times I've asked if he'd like to go to a reptile show with me - "no, you go ahead!". He's going to Daytona with me, but plans to spend his time checking out the women on the beach while I'm at the show! LOL

So, I got him to go to the show with me yesterday, because I needed his SUV for the rack. I was surprised when he didn't just toss me the keys, but rather said "what time do we need to be up?"

So, I paid for both of us to get in and today he said "that reptile show was pretty cool - I had fun yesterday". I asked "so, does that mean you'll go see the show in Daytona one of the two days?" And he said "oh Yeah!" like it wasn't ever anything he WASN'T considering! LOL

All during the show yesterday he'd come find me and say "come here - I want to show you something" - and he REALLY loved the albino ball pythons.

When I bought the girl yesterday, he insisted on carrying her the whole time! LOL

I think he's cracking. Today he's asked if I've updated my database yet, and asked me to make some labels for their enclosures (which I haven't done yet).

So ladies - those with husbands who don't really understand our passion - there IS hope!

see ladies, there IS hope for your men. you gotta drag them out to a show! honestly though, while my husband is supportive of my hobby going to shows totally hooked him. he didn't really get it until he went to a show with me. now when we go to shows he will point at a spider and say, "you NEED that." (of course my wallet can't support it but i'm THRILLED that he would even say it!)

That's so wonderful, Robin. I know how hard it is sometimes to convince some of the males in my life to warm up to our hobby.

Although...Justin was really fascinated when I first bought Ophelia and now he's always begging to get her out and hold her.

And I seriously want to start an albino project too. O_O
