    My Beardie Fluffy

    This is my female beardie fluffy....and no i didnt name her ftfer bobs clarks retic....i had her long long before i even knew who bob clark was lol...she is roughly 5 years old...i was told she is a lemon but her colors have been fading the last year or so....she used to be so yellow you needed sunglasses

    Way over a year ago

    She's beautiful! I still see the lemon showing off of her. Make sure you change out those UVB flourescent bulbs out about every 10-12 months to keep their intensity, and her colors will pop back up in no time!

    It is highly reccommended that you actually change out your UV lighting EVERY 6 MONTHS. They begin to degrade rather quickly after that and become ineffective.

    Dang Fluffy is cute! I love that "hey whatcha want...bugger off!" look that all beardies seem to have even when they are in a good mood LOL. We are going to get a Beardie once we've had time to settle in Toledo and one all our research and so forth. No real experience here but I know for a fact my friend that rescues Iggy's changes out her UVB's every 6 months (she keeps the old ones marked by date so if she has a sudden light failure she's got an emergency back up till she can run to the pet store).
