    where to find an enclosure

Does anyone know where I would be able to buy a somewhat large wooden(or other material) screened cage? With the last ball I had we just went to home-depot and got the materials to build one...it worked, but it was a bit ghetto..lol. I'd rather buy a really well built one. Thanks!

Re: where to find an enclosure

There are tons of good cages available on the market, from screened-top glass vivariums (we use Critter Cages brand available from most big chain pet stores as the screen lid has locking mechanism) to higher-end molded plastic cages.

Here's a link to my website links pages, which as links to seven major cage manufacturer's. =)

Also, here is a link to a guide my fiance Rick wrote, Captain Overkill's Guide to Setting up a Glass Viv, including maintaining proper temps and humidity. =)

I also would not recommend using a screened cage for a ball python - as you need to keep their humidity around 50% during non-shed and bumped to about 70% during shed. I imagine that's going to be next to impossible to do with a screened cage.

i agree with the others on the no screen comment. if you are hell bent on wood i would suggest either boa master or trying to find a carpenter in your area that could build one to the specifications that you want.
