solid/opaque tubs fit for a BCI?

Hey, I was looking to buy a larger tub for my BCI and I saw the perfect rubbermaid tub but it wasn't see through. I wasn't shure if I could buy that for my boa so I didn't but is it ok for the snake? thanks! lucas

    Was it completely opaque?

I wouldn't want to keep any of my snakes in an utterly dark opaque tub - if nothing else it would make it impossible to gage when it was time to swap out the substrate or if a waterbowl had been overturned etc.

I agree with Smulkin. I like to be able to see at least some of what's going on in there. If you want to go with a tub, I recommend reptiletubs.com. They have a 4.5' monster tub that is only $35 (don't know what shipping is, I got mine at a reptile show)

I use it for my 7' 4" 21 lb dumerils boa.

Wal-mart sells that exact same tub as the "Iris Christmas tree storage box" for $19.50. Its identical to the Reptile Tub VE175, except the lid is green.
