If it's small enough, rehouse it into one of those big salt shakers (make sure it can't climb out the holes though). They need lots of ventilation.

actually it's quite amazing how active beautifully coloured and intricately detailed something so small can be! connects you with the wonder of life!

It would not hurt to put some holes into the side of the vial to allow cross-ventilation. I have done this in the past by using a small heated up snake probe...I just stick the probe into the flames on my stove lol. Crude, but it works.
