    Re: New BCI!!!

    4 weeks......thats crazy

The recomended amount of time for letting your new snake settle in is around a week or two, 4 weeks is way to long.

    Re: New BCI!!!

4 weeks isn't too long. I think it's great that you got several feedings in and put the snake's best interest first. Congrats. I think starting with 5-10 minute handling sessions, and then increasing that time slowly works great.

    Re: New BCI!!!

Yeah, 2-3 weeks sounds right. I would wait until your snake has had a good solid feeding and had about 48 hours to digest, before handling him. Although, if yours is anything like my BCI, he will be an eating machine!

    Re: New BCI!!!

Two weeks/two feedings should be more than enough for a healthy BCI to settle in, you won't have any trouble at all. Just keep your temps right, give it 48-72hrs depending on the size of meal after eating to somewhat digest and you'll be fine.

    Good luck!
