    First Boa!

hey, I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of boa would be the best for my first one?
I really like colombian red tail boas alot, and they are very good looking snakes but I just wanna make shure that I will be making a good choice?

Well, it depends on what kind of snake experience you have.

Colombian boas get big. 7-9' is pretty normal. 30lbs is not unusual for a big female. They are usually very docile and easy to care for husbandry-wise however.

Hogg island boas tend to stay a bit smaller. They're cool snakes.

Sand boas are great snakes, but they're not big bulky things like red tail boas are. Not sure what you're looking for really.
