    Hearing/Vibrations

I don't yet have a BP but I plan to get one very soon. My question is, and I tried searching here and google, if I like to play loud music in my room, is it going to stress out/piss off my snake?? Because I have read they dont have "ears" but that they sense the vibrations, and I do have a subwoofer with my stearo.

Just want to figure out the best place to put him...

    --thanks--

They will feel the vibrations from their inner ear and yes, it will stress the BP out.

Ya i have a stereo in my room as well. I listen to music all the time, just to blast the music so that ur BP gets blown out of his tank hehe. I take mine out all the time when im around the hosue and to watch movies and stuff. We have a surround sound system for my TV and she just chills on my neck while i watch the movie.

Our BP is kept in our daughter's room (it's hers really but I just "borrow" her We used to have ear-blasting, house-shaking drum and bass and rock reverberating throughout the house - since Emily (BP) moved in - we now have peace

    Re: Hearing/Vibrations

It may not fix it but you could buy some foam to help absorb the vibration. You would not want to put it under the heat element on the bottom --- so may be use those little feet to lift the tank slightly then put some foam like the stuff they use in kids playroom floors. Will not fix it but might help some.

My girl is on a piece of furniture across the room from the subwoofer -- we do have a speaker up on the wall above her but I made sure the furniture is not touching the wall. I just thought at least it would not get direct vibrations --- it would have to travel a little more.

We do listen to music and I belly dance so lots o' drums! Also movies...I have only seen her even budge once when I had it loud.....she just moved from one hide to another so I turned it down (that was techno and I usually am not playing that). So that kind of told me that she really was not disturbed except when it was this new vibration.....she is really calm so I think it is fine as long as you get to know your baby and just pay attention.

I probably bother her more always looking into her cage to see what she is doing so I know her habits. My husband laughs because I look in on her all the time and hold her for about 30 mins each night unless she is shedding or just ate --- but he is really laughing because I talk to her like she understands or even cares...ha ah....cannot help it!
