Re: i think i have a big problem is this RI
Well, from what I understand, RI is more of a gurgling, but there are others who are more knowledgeable on them than I. Can you open her mouth and inspect to make sure there is nothing unusual going on?
I know at times when I handle my boa, he puffs a bit, but I think it is just him breathing hard, cause I have inspected him and even taken him to a vet to be checked and he was fine.
Also, if you are that worried it may be in your best interest and hers to get her to a vet for a check up. Where did she come from?

From what I've seen snkes that have R.I. wheez. It's like the sound you get when your nose is plugged up and it whistles almost. I have read that snakes w/ R.I. often open their mouth to breathe because of the blocked nasal passages I would say it's a pretty good sign.
