    Hypos...WHAT ?

I was just looking on Exotics by Natures boaconstrictors morphs site and saw that they are charging 300 bucks for a hypo.....i didnt know they were that cheap, i thought they were thousands of dollors and i didnt even consider them when looking for my redtail, i paid 275 for her total....a little bit more money and i could have had myself an awesome hypo boa !

Correct me if im wrong but arent hypos usually alot more expensive than 300 bucks ?

Dont get me wrong, i love my little boa....but a hypo boa....c'mon

    Re: Hypos...WHAT ?

Depends on the hypo, really, and the sex. Males will go for cheaper than females. And if they have some crazy color, they'll be more expensive. But I wouldn't say $300 is too cheap for a hypo. I've seen a few salmons (which are also hypos) that go for around that---again, depending on color and sex.

    Re: Hypos...WHAT ?

Yes, the snake that im talking about is a male. I always wonder why the males are cheaper, i know there is a reason but doesnt it make more sense to charge a larger amount of money for a male snake that can breed a bunch of females in one season and produce alot of babies ?

Exotics by nature has such a great collection of snakes, especially corns, im gonna buy two or three corn morphs from them when i have the money....well actually i have the money....but not permission from the darn parents.

    Re: Hypos...WHAT ?

The reason males are cheaper is the exact reason you stated.. you only need one for five or six females! There is MUCH more demand for females because people want more than one, so the price goes up.

    Re: Hypos...WHAT ?

I saw Sean's adult male when me and katie got the tour.....they are so cool. Once the hets get a little cheaper I will probably go for it....but I cant handle $2250 for the pair right now.

Definiately on my 'to get' list though
