    Worried about my ball python

Hey everyone, I have a ball python that I like to let out a slither around when I'm in the livingroom with her. Today she was exploring and crawled inside the upholstery of my couch. I didn't even know you could get in there. She is very well behaved but can be snappy when a hand is just feeling around in front of her. So when I was trying to find where she went she bite my hand and I spasmed and pulled my hand out. I was bleeding but I've been bitten before so I didn't worry about it. After about an hour I finally got her out and put back in her tank. She seemed fine and none the worse for wear. But when I was looking at my hand I noticed that two of her teeth were actually stuck in my finger. I pulled them out but now I'm worried about what my being rash has done. Will she be ok? Do snakes regrow their teeth? What should I do?

Re: Worried about my ball python

Ive never had a snake loose one of thier teeth but, ive heard of other owners having a snake or two loose some teeth when they are bitten or when feeding, im pretty sure your snake will be fine, im almost 100% positive they regrow thier teeth.

I've had two of my boas lose teeth when I was trying to examine their mouths. It is generally not a problem, but keep an eye on the mouth to make sure there isn't any infection. You can get a small rubber spatula and hold the snake gently but firmly behind the neck. Use the spatula to prop open the mouth to see inside. Just make sure it doesn't look inflamed in there.

I'd keep an eye on her ... mouth rot is a possibility.
