    Another Weight Question…

I received my boy Apollo in Early October (10th) from his Breeder that had him on Med Mice. He had the Hatch date of July 5th and was at 87g on arrival to me. Breeder stated he was feeding every 5-7, but no more than 14 days between feedings. I however have taken to feeding once a Week.

Since then we have switched from Med Mice to Rat Fuzzies (4 taken with #5 to come this Monday) and weigh around 128g @ Dec 9. My questions are should I continue to feed Rat Fuzzies at this Size and weight? Could I perhaps bump him up to a Rat Pup? In my Opinion, he seems rather small in weight compared to the Size charts and reading on sites for his age. He’s put on about 40g’s in the time I’ve had him. Is that a normal weight gain or should it be more?

It doesn’t hurt to bump up a size. You just might have to wait a little longer for the next feed after you’ve moved up. I would only worry about weight if your bp wasn’t eating. I personally don’t look at those charts lol
