Something incredible just happened
Sunday night is feeding time for my fella. Since June I've put the rat in his cage in the afternoon to stink the place up, get him hungry, it helps warm the rat also. Did it today, put it in the same spot I always do. Today, just now actually, he came out of his hide, found it and ate it! It's only been there for about 90 minutes at the most. Anyway, its the first time for this. He's been an excellent eater as well. Just thought I would share this great surprise.

And I should add the rat isF/T. I take them out of the freezer on Friday to thaw in the fridge until Sunday.

You scared me for a minute there- I thought you meant it was still thawing!
That's great- you've got him on 'room service' now.

Live rats don't generally need "warming up"- Now you've got me picturing them with little shawls...
