What’s up with these eggs?
Is this a calcium deficiency? I’ve seen pictures of other ball python eggs and they just look like they’re malformed. What can I do to prevent this? Hoping they’re still viable.

When were these eggs laid? Who are the parents? Did you candle them? If they've got veins, I'd guess they're viable.

They were just laid in that picture. From what I read you have to wait a week to candle?

All I can tell you is that Chris Hardwick doesn't wait a week. See Last Clutch of Ball Python Eggs This Year (at 8:30).

I've never bred BPs, but I've hatched out many other kinds of snake eggs. I usually candle pretty fast, & fyi, not all viable eggs color up (show veins) immediately. So while I candle right away out of curiosity, I don't discard any eggs based on that "first impression"- some eggs can take a week. I don't know that those spots mean anything- I'd incubate those eggs & assume they're good- they don't look like slugs to me, not at all, & while one or more "might" go bad, they might not. Now you just have to wait.

They are fine, and very viable. This is extremely common, don't give it a second thought.

I agree. Very normal look. One of my clutches looked the same.
