"Snake uses iPhone"
Okay, "uses" is a bit of a stretch, but it's a beautiful snake in it's natural world (plus an iPhone)...enjoy!

From ASP (Advocates for Snake Preservation):
"While teaching a class on coexisting with snakes last night, I found myself reminding students that animals are unpredictable. Learning about snakes and what they generally do and like is helpful, but each individual has a history, personality, and their own ideas about what they need and want. So they continue to surprise us, which makes encountering snakes so much fun!
When we encountered this Rock Rattlesnake a few weeks ago, we were aiming for a unique shot, but ended up with something completely unexpected and difficult to explain. Many are convinced she was seeking warmth, but this was an exceptionally warm and sunny September day, so to those of us who were present, this seems unlikely. We have gotten pretty comfortable with not being able to interpret everything we see snakes do, and like I said, even enjoy it! We hope you enjoy watching the video as much as we did filming it."

My BP does something similar. He likes to crawl on my tablet's screen when I have him out of the enclosure. If I'm using my tablet and the screen is on, he shows a special interest in it different from other objects I might be holding or using. Sometimes he'll "tap" the screen with his face. No idea what causes that behavior. Probably a burning desire to post on this forum, lol.
My actual guess is that it's a very unusual light source when it's on, but doesn't seem threatening, so he's curious and willing to investigate it. Probably something to do with snake vision. I know dogs and cats apparently don't see TV the same way we do.

It explains why people can't stop looking at their phones. It stimulates the reptile portion of your brain.

That's really interesting, but y eah I agree it makes me feel weird about the "reptile part" of my brain too and being addicted to the phone. Haha
