Temperature question
Odd issue maybe... I just setup a new rack. I have herpstat set to 90 and left it on overnight so I could check temps in the morning. My temp gun says most of the tub is at a fine range on the hot end. Within a degree of 90 one way or the other. There is one small spot on all the tubs where I guess it sits against the heat panel tighter than the rest of the tub and my temp gun is registering 4-6 degrees warmer. ~95-96 on the top tubs, 93-94 on the tubs where the probe is taped. The spot in every tub is maybe a square inch big.
Is this going to cause an issue or is it fine given that its such a small spot? The only fix I can see would be setting up 2-3 more thermostat probes on the same rack so there's only 1 level between the probe.

What type of rack do you have? Is it homemade or did you purchase it from a manufacturer? If so, which manufacturer? I doubt a one inch spot at 96 degrees will harm your ball pythons, but maybe there is another way to fix the hot spot.

Re: Temperature question
Make sure all your settings on the thermostat are dialed in. Current date, time am or pm, current year. Also, make sure no tape is covering the probe end. Heat rises , so the upper tub temps will be typically higher than your lowers. Try setting the temperature at 88F instead of 90F and recheck then triple check.

It's an ARS 5520. I think it fixed itself though after leaving it long enough. The tubs slightly bowed upwards so that the sides are pressing on the heat panel more than the center of the tub causing it to be hotter in small spots. I left it on all weekend and checked again Monday evening and the hot spots seem to have went away. Maybe the tubs un-bowed slightly or the velcro/padding settled enough to take enough pressure off *shrug*
