    Re: Young BP Husbandry/Enclosure Questions

Thanks guys. As you may notice in my post I have 4x heat pads, Two vertical and two horizontal So tweaking has been endless to get it where I want. Definitely considered a heat bulb but in my condition the tub is all I can manage and even though I could add alternatives they seem dangerous with the plastic bin. I do understand and I have been avoiding trying to keep the 2 UTH In a reasonable non-burns zone Which was easier before autumn.

Sadly the basement is where we were going to be for a few more months while I recover from surgeries. We both just got to stay healthy until we do that. I am not a fan of basement living either.

I am still waiting for animal plastics to respond to my questions. I plan on pulling the trigger on a pro built enclosure But I am trying to time it so it arrives when one my rentals empties So I can build and inspect immediately. At that time I can get us both out of here and to better air quality and an easier to control environment.

Hi OP, my cage is similar where the flexwatt doesnt raise the ambient, so what i have in addition to his belly heat is a CHE over his hot side thats controlled by a thermostat to keep the cool side at 80. I soldered holes in the lid of the top to allow heat in, and find that this keeps a nice ambient of 86 to 80 going from his hot to cool side.
