    Pro Heat panels removal/reinstallation

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows, is it fine to remove Pro Heat panels and install them in a different cage? The cages would be the same size and temps and everything. I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to but I just wanted to be sure.

Long story but I was already forced to remove the panels, so now I’m just wondering if I can still use them. The other thing is when I took them off, the way I was holding them the textured part kind of got pushed in. Idk if that makes sense. Not like permanently pushed in but when I pressed on it it would move inwards a bit, creating a small gap around the metal frame. I don’t know if that’s normal or if it means I broke them.

    Yep, they're reusable.

I don't know about the pushed in part; I've never seen the inside of one of them. Emailing a photo to Bob might the most prudent bet; he could say whether that could cause some sort of issue inside the unit.

I agree that they are reusable and I also don't know if you broke it. I'd be surprised, though, if they were that delicate. I'd install it and test it out.

Okay I will definitely check with Bob, I also don’t have the screws and everything so I need to call him anyway to make sure I get the right ones. I just have a huge fear of fires with my pets being at risk and I don’t want to risk using a faulty heat panel.

So I might have made a mistake… I ordered the cages but completely forgot about the cord for the heat panels, since last time I had them shipped to AP and they installed them. Can I just drill a small hole or does it come with one automatically maybe? Normally I’d just contact AP but shockingly the cages already shipped after ordering them only a few days ago.

Don't lose any sleep over it. This video will show you how to install it. It's pretty simple.
