I'd recommend against it. Put the money aside for when your BP has a health problem the vet can assist you with.

I don't take any snakes for annual check-ups. Then again, I'm a snake-keeper with decades of experience, so I pretty much know when something is wrong. If you're new to snake-keeping & would feel reassured by a vet visit, hey, it's your money. But keep in mind that a vet visit is also stressful for your snake- so you may risk them going off eating afterwards- and you need to keep them protected from being chilled or overheated during transport to minimize the negative side.

(Transport in cloth bag within an insulated carrier, no matter what time of year- to protect them from temperature extremes- & remember, vehicles can break down & accidents with traffic jams can happen any time, making your trip much longer than expected. Just saying. Always think safety.)

Just make sure your vet is very experienced with snakes, & if you need to find one, this site can help: https://arav.site-ym.com/search/custom.asp?id=3661

    Re: Check up

When I had him out couple of times he seem not want to move as (explore) much since he got his new terrarium I have a Wyze camera to help me improve I have noticed he’s reaching for the top of the terrarium and then sliding sideways after losing his balance one time hitting his head I know some people would condemn me again I am still learning and that’s the reason why I have this camera up to improve

BPs are shy snakes that normally don't move around much. A little more at night (after dark) but even then, they're ambush-predators- meaning they sit in one spot & wait to grab prey that's cluelessly within their reach. When BPs move around out in the open, they run the risk of being "dinner" for something else- & they're too slow-moving to get away, so instinctively they're not very active in situations like you describe. New terrariums take some getting used to- it's SCARY for a snake when their whole world suddenly changes- try to think of it from their view. They learn their way around in the wild- things don't suddenly change, & they do not understand the world we put them in, including walls you (they) can see thru- nothing makes sense to them, so it's scary.

Is the terrarium ventilated at the top? That's what he's reaching for- new scents coming in. That too is normal. As far as his balance- BPs are lousy at climbing- they don't have the body shape for it like rat snakes & others do. And also, their neck strength is in constricting, & is not designed for strength in reaching, so quite a few snakes wobble some when stretching way up to something- their muscles are designed for wrapping around things.

But if you're concerned about how he moves, why not post a video here that we can view & give input on. I think your camera is a good idea, actually. (-though I have no idea what a "Wyze" camera is?)

Not to worry- we were all new to snake-keeping at one time. Questions are welcome.
