Re: quick question for those of you who use those black hide boxes...
I wash hides in the top rack in the dishwasher (regular cycle with heated dry, snake stuff load only), and soak in F10 when they come out.

I glove and mask up first and then wash them in a 5 gallon bucket with a capful of bleach and Dawn dishwashing soap. Air dry them overnight. Consider the potential of cross contamination if you put them in the dishwasher. Best to separate reptile supplies from human supplies.
Stay in peace and not pieces.

That was my thought too- many dishwashers are FAR from perfect, & some re-deposit "food" particles-(ahem!!!) I personally don't use dishwashers at all, preferring to do dishes (AND hides) by hand.

They definitely warp over time so I'd recommend not to put them in the dishwasher. Mine ended up warping hust from washing in hot water.
With that being said, from a sanitary point of view, you're putting thing that may be soiled with poop in the dishwasher where you wash your plates that you eat out of. Woulf highly discourage against that as the dishwasher filter is not meant to process this kind of waste.
