    BP not pooping

My BP is about 6 months old and weighs 473g. He has not pooped since 12/12/21 and it’s now 1/27/22.
Is this not normal? I feed him every 7-9 days so I’ve fed 4 times (35g rats) with no poop and he has eaten every meal for the past 5 months I’ve had him. He just shed 4 days ago and I fed him 2 days ago. No poop or pee came with the shed. He has urates about once every 10 or so days. I will post pictures so you can see if he looks normal. Any help or ideas or clarification would be appreciated. Thanks!

    BP not pooping

I’d also like to add that the last time he pooped it had been 3 meals with out pooping before he pooped. So in 7 meals he’s pooped 1 time.

I wouldn't be concerned. Looks healthy. It will go when it is ready.

Snakes conserve water in their body in the wild by saving it up & only going when they really need to. Also, young snakes are eating younger rodents which are mostly digestible, ie. less waste left over that a snake needs to expel. He looks fine to me also, I wouldn't worry, & I'd also enjoy the less-frequent clean-ups.

    Re: BP not pooping

He doesn’t appear distended or impacted from the views that I can see. It’s hard to appreciate the belly also from these views. Younger reptiles will typically use a lot of their nutrition for growth and not expel much. Yeah, he looks great! Make sure his water dish stays full and fresh. Consider giving him a larger water bowl also. Enjoy.
Stay in peace and not pieces.

As long as you're not seeing or feeling a hard bulge just above the cloaca (sometimes they form a urate "stone" that they cannot pass without help), or any other odd bulge or distension.

You're not the first to worry if their snake is constipated, & most likely the answer is no- or as I like to say, "this too shall pass"!
