    So proud of my girl

Just wanted to share how proud I am and show how far she's come. When I first got my girl, she was terrified. She struck every time she was handled, jumped/flinched at everything, was just very stiff and you could tell she was just uncomfortable. Thankfully she's always been a good eater but she still rathers being drop fed and doesn't really strike at tongs. But at least she always eats just takes a little longer than my other snake.

Anyway she has gotten so used to being handled now. She's currently exploring in my lap as I write this. Now she has a nice loose body, she explores. Let's her head and tail be touched gently. She hasn't struck in a while. She still flinches if something scares her but that happens to everyone now and then. As she gets more good experiences with nothing hurting her I'm sure those flinches will stop being as frequent.

I'm so glad she's not scared of everything now like she was. Baby steps, little by little. Now I just need to come up with a name lol. I'm a little sick of calling her my female snake lol.

Very pretty little thing! Glad she's settling in & losing her fear.

She is very pretty. It kinda amazes me how much a little work with an animal can do.

They definitely learn to feel safe with us- with just some patience & empathy. And less stress for them means they stay healthier too, beside being a better pet.

Definitely. That's all I want is her to be happy and healthy. Especially since she's a pet, I definitely don't need her scared and on alert 24/7.
