I honestly can not remember the last time any of mine refused...... Where I didn't miss them starting a shed.
Today was both Hognose, both Kings, and my Cen Boa. Tomorrow will be everyone else.

I'm happy for you Ziggy, but you have to admit, those are all pretty good eaters. (& no Beeps, lol )

Yeah, same here, outside of a few winter fasts my snakes pretty much always eat. I usually feed 3-5 snakes at a time every couple of weeks. Normally it seems like my similar species eat together but tonight was one of the rare occasions that one of each of the 5 different species I keep ate on the same night. Next round it’ll be 3 carpets, a bull, and a boa.

Gotcha!
I just feed those that are not in shed, unless like these past couple weeks I have several in shed. If that's the case I'll just make them all wait. As of today everyone is now wearing fresh paint so they should all be ready for some chow.

It just occurred to me that I can be a little rigid with some elements of my feeding regimen even though I try to be, and thought I was, pretty free flowing. Because they’re on similar prey sizes and feeding frequencies I usually feed the bulls, olive, and scrub together as group A. Group A eats mostly large and jumbo rats. The boas and carpets eat together as Group B. Group B eats mostly medium and large rats. This is a pretty steady routine but shed cycles will mix things up sometimes.

I was thinking the same thing
All my piranhas ate their scraped beef heart tonight as well
LoL
In all seriousness - all mine ( including 7 Royal pythons ) usually eat - unless one or two of them are in shed mode .
That said I do cheat a little by using the hairdryer method

I have only one snake that has been a challenge with feeding - a young Dumeril's that some of you in this thread have helped me with. He's doing fine - he just can't stand rodents, apparently. But he's perfectly happy to chow down on quail. That's fine with me; I just want him to eat. The other Dumeril's has a ferocious appetite and will eat anything I put in front of him. My other snakes never miss meals, and I am grateful for that.
I'm having some good experiences with feeding based on behavior rather than sticking to a specific schedule. It's meant that some snakes eat more frequently for a few weeks, then seem to want to wait for awhile - sometimes a month - before eating again. It's been interesting. Honestly, sticking with a schedule is more convenient for me but I may stay with the behavior-based feedings for a couple of my crew.
