Reptile watching- as shared in media
Sooooo as per the thread title ..
I’ve just been watching a young lady ( about 22 yr old) giving a supposed masterclass on Royal python feeding on TikTok LIVE !!!
Sadly it couldn’t have been any worse in my opinion
First off the room was Uber- bright ... she took the glass out and was really nervous , first she had to scare her cat out of the room , TWICE .. then didn’t warm it up ,she took the hide OFF the settled snake making it nervous... making her more nervous... she then cut off it’s NOSE to get it bleeding and then it’s legs - as snakes apparently need to smell blood ( I thought that was sharks and piranhas lol) ...
Then she held the rat by fingers WITHOUT tongs - which may explain why she was so nervous..
There was no covering on the substrate ..
Eventually it had a little nibble and coiled but she pulled the rat out of it’s grasp because it wasn’t chewing on its head !!
The positives ( from my perspective) were that she obviously cared for it , she was feeding thawed frozen and it was housed in a lovely, decent sized wooden vivarium.
I couldn’t take any more and left before she showed us how she feeds her 7’ Boa !!
My nerves wouldn’t take the stress ..

Sounds more like a show of "how NOT to do this". Hope she used tongs with the boa...if not, maybe the next time she will? LOL

Just checked her other clips .. it’s a 10’ Boa not a 7’ one !!
Plus she constantly refers to her Bull pythons !!
Guess are must have misheard what they’re called ... kinda worrying to be giving loads of master classes whilst thinking she has a Bull python .. one that she happily admitted was a very poor feeder ....
I wonder why ...

Hey, I've heard them called "bald pythons" too, but of course, I've never seen any with hair anyway, so it's not altogether a bad name, eh?
You really ought to message her though...she needs some lessons.

It’s a shame to see someone so sure she knew what she was doing making so many mistakes ... sadly she may find out the hard way one day with that 10’ Boa ..

Not to mention anyone that copies her. And then they'll be dumping their pets for being "too scary" & "homicidal".
