How long does the glue take to dry/set or whatever you call it?
And how long should I keep him out of the enclosure for?

Re: He escaped the viv overnight.
As soon as I read the header line I had to come take a look. My first two bps (ten years ago) were genius at escaping. Luckily enough I managed to get the tank (vent strip at the top back) up against the wall while adding vents at the side of the tank. This managed to stop them both getting out, for some reason they never worked out the side vents. The female managed to find her way out more than my male did at the time. Mad.
Good luck!

He did it again, I’ve found him, he was cold & underneath the bed. Would’ve been out for 3 to 4 hours.

Looks like you have an escape artist on your hands, time to get creative with how you secure your viv. Glad you were able to find him somewhere you could get to him. I always worry about mine ending up somewhere where I can't simply pick her up like inside the couch or something. How would you lure your her out?

We had to lift my bed up to get to him. Wouldn’t know how to lure a snake out from a good hiding spot.

What's the plan to keep him safe in his viv in the future?

People have had to cut open their couch or bed or upholstered chairs to retrieve a snake that found their way in thru a hole in the fabric. I don't know how snakes always seem to find those holes, nor do I know how tornadoes seem to "find" trailer parks...I just know that they do.

I figured you would have to cut your way in because they wont be coming out once they find a safe place to hide, best to properly secure our viv's instead. Preventing a problem always better than trying to solve it
Still I wonder if a live rat inside a cage could trick them into coming out ? Probably wouldn't want to wait for her to get hungry until putting her safely back home though.

Happily I've never had to find out. It might work, but like you said, how long would it take? And would it be worth letting your snake get too cold, get sick & need the vet? I'd rather cut open the furniture underneath where it won't show (& repair it after) to get the snake out.
