my friend just inherited an iguana its a male about 4 and a half feet long (including tail) and is about 6 years old. he has this ginormous tank for it i'd estimate at like 8x4x4. its made of wood and chicken wire he has a florescent bulb acroos the top tons of climbing branches two "shelves" one for basking under a 60 watt bulb and the other for...i dunno resting out of the light on the other end of the cage ( i'll try to get pics)
hes curious for info cause hes heard conflicting reports on how to care for em
1. temps and humidity where they supposed to be at?
2. food- hes been feeding it packaged salad (it appears not to like the carrots)
3. do they eat meat also?
4.is it finished growing? (at 6 years)
5.whats the lifespan?
6. someone told him that they need to be able to swim. is that true?
if theres anything i left out please let me know
