First thing, stop feeding in a separate enclosure.


Second, is all the husbandry on point?
Are you using a thermostat on your heating device?
What are your hotspot, warm side ambient, and cool side ambient temps?
How is your humidity looking? If you have a screen top are you misting the enclosure regularly?


Also, your snake is not aggressive.
Your snake is either displaying defensive behavior because something is wrong , or a hyper feeding response because your snake is overly excited to eat, and when exposed to stimulus that suggest food may be a possibility, your snake might bite the next warm object that comes near

Tagging is not feeding response, it's a scared response. Latching is a feeding response. Rats have a strong odor. Plus you & your hand looks nothing like a rat. You are a giant warm thing. BPs are notoriously picky eaters, who will certainly be able to tell whether a "warm, moving thing" is food. In the wild, their lives depend on it.

While BP's can be picky, when they are ready to eat they will grab and wrap whatever they can get hold of just like my boa or retic will. BTDT and in the future will NOT use the short feeding tongs with my adults...
