Ask any utility worker...meter boxes are often "occupied" by snakes... I hope they released them elsewhere...

And never stick your hands OR your feet* where you cannot adequately see what's already there...

*Many ppl get bit on ankles (etc) when they step over a log or rock...snakes often hide under the shade of such things, & a foot that literally lands "in their face" is an
enormous threat that pretty much BEGS to be bitten. Nothing personal...just self defense.

The more we learn to think like snakes, the less risks we have from errant bites.

Wonder how the snakes came out in this situation? I bet it wasn't good. Rattlesnakes are one of the most habitually abused and mis-treated wild animals in my opinion. Hope they survived.
