    Ball python not eating

I am in need of some help. I have a 8 month old woma ball python. I purchased home in january. He has been doing well. Lately he has not eaten for 18 days now. His last meal was a rat puppy on feb. 14th. I have his temp at 80 on cool side and 88 on hot side. It is controlled by a thermostat and I keep his humidity at 60 to 70 percent on both sides. I am new at owning these gorgeous animsls. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

i appreciate the info. I also feel it is important to note that he has only ever eaten live mice and he was recently started on live rat puppys. his first rat pup was on the 22nd of January with subsequent feedings on the 27th, 3rd, 10th and 14th. he has not taken any live since the 14th.

Your temps are certainly in range. Is it possible your snake is prepping to shed? BPs will take unexplained food breaks from time to time. I would slow down the offering of food to every 2-3 weeks so you're not wasting too many feeders. Hopefully he'll start eating again soon.

I really cant tell if he is starting to go into shed. His last shed was January 27th. But the weird thing was he still took food while his eyes were blue. I try to offer every night. Should I only maybe offer once a week? I dont want him losing alta weight. He is currently at 330grams.

If he was eating consistently prior to the last few weeks I wouldn't be too worried. Offering food too often will sometimes cause a pattern of refusals. I would only offer food every 2-3 weeks until he starts eating again.
