New ball python out of hides in the day?

Hi all new BP owner here paranoid with worry but only because I want the best for her.

I got her on the 2nd of January and she's spent the last few days one of her hides, but today I came downstairs to her lying outside her cave, kind of in an s-pose. She isn't frantically trying to escape or anything. I'm worried something in my husbandry is off...

Warm side is between 29-32c on the ground and 35c at the highest point (top of the hide), using CHE with thermostat. Cold side does not drop below 22c and is ambient 25c. Humidity between 50-65% generally. Measured with probe hygrometer and temp gun... She has several hides of different sizes.

Is this normal for the settling in period? Could it be hunger? Thanks all

35C = 95F on top of hide = Too Hot
Might have fallen asleep inside the warm hide, gotten too toasty, and moved outside to cool off for a while.

Ah OK, I'll turn the thermostat down then! Should I be worried if she stays like this for a long time? She just seems to be chilling...

I wouldn't worry, aside from being a little bit perturbed by you taking the picture-her body position seems quite relaxed.

She's now sat like this... Is this a 'resting' position or is it a scared one? I'm a bit puzzled

I am a newbie as well but here is what I learned and experienced. The first several days I had our BP he was spending most of the time in the cool side and was not using the hides. He would curl up under a branch or under some of the fake leaves I had in the enclosure. After his first feeding he moved to his hot hide as I expected and now he spends a majority of his time there. Give it a couple days for him to figure out what he likes. Also you might include some pictures of your hides. I learned that mine were not ideal so I changed them, you also want a hide on each side that is identical so they are able to get to the temperature they like and don't stay on one side, uncomfortable, because that's the only hide they like.

Hi sorry I never saw that last reply for some reason! She was just settling in I think. Went to hiding in the day and poking head out of cave at night, willingly ate her first meal with us the other day. Super happy.
