Feeding My Baby Ball Python

Hey all, I was wondering if these mice would be too big to feed my baby ball python. I know of the rule that you should not do a prey item bigger than the largest width of the snake or in some cases you can do 1.25 the size or more depending on the snake. My local pet store did not have hopper mice (what I wanted to get originally) they only had pinkies, fuzzies and adult mice. I ended up getting these adult mice. I just called the pet store and they also sell frozen rat pinkies or fuzzies and adult rats (all the lady said on the phone was small rats and big rats lol). So, long story short, would these mice be too big? If so should I get rat fuzzies or mice fuzzies? (I do plan on switching her over to rats eventually, I heard they are more recommended). Those are a good size meal, about as large as I'd go for that size snake but it should be able to handle one no problem.

Start with the smallest mouse. They should work.

My ball python is about that same exact size and I fed her that same sized mouse just a few days ago with no difficulty. That mouse looks to be the perfect size and I would recommend you continue feeding that size from now on until it of course grows out of it. Babies generally need to eat more (or at least more often) than the adults, so 1 hopper likely wouldn't be enough if you wanted your snake to grow to full length.
I'm no expert but from what I hear it's best to get your snake on rats sooner than later. Younger BPs tend to not be very picky so it will be much easier to do it on your next size up from this new size you're trying. (Rats are higher in protein than mice. It's generally why people prefer rats)
