The end of December will be two years since I've had my Borneo boy Juice. As some of you know he's been a pain in the rear end as far as eating consistently and taking F/T is concerned. He's the only snake I've ever had any feeding trouble with at all. I even considered rehoming him because I felt like he wasn't thriving in my care. I aim for all of the animals in my care to thrive, not just survive, and I felt like I was failing him.
Well, fingers crossed....
He's now taken F/T 5 out of the last 6 offerings and 4 in a row!!!! I'm not out of the woods yet, but this is the most optimistic I've felt with him in at least a year. It wasn't easy, but I'm thinking I'm there!! Finally!! The last 4 he hit SUPER hard as soon as I opened his door. He's got his face practically pressed against the glass once he smells rats in the room.
All good signs and I'm feeling good about my boy!!! Hopefully he keeps it up, I'd like to see him put on some weight, he's definitely a bit thin for a Blood/STP.
I'm glad I decided to work with him for a while longer, he's an awesome animal and generally a complete sweetheart.
Thanks to all who have offered advice and well wishes for Juicey boy, we both appreciate it!!!!
