    Question *Strange Behavior?*

Ive recently noticed that both of my ball pythons are becoming very active and trying to escape every chance they get. I take them out not everyday but atleast twice a week. I cant figure out what they are up to.

can anyone help me and tell me if their snakes habits change with the season? or even if there may be something else going on with them that i cant see.

im a new mommmy with my 2 little ones and everything is very new to me.

thank you for all the help you can give.

Are they adult/subadult? Are they male? If so, they are just looking for love.

i know one is a male... the other im not positive yet. they are together and ive caught them locked up on may occasions, so they are both getting all the love they can get. if you mean outside love from me or my boyfriend (they both belong to the 2 of us) then i see what ur saying but normally around feeding days they are feisty...

Well, since they're together they may very well want to get out to get away from each other. You know that snakes get stressed out when they have to live together? Do them a favor and separate them. There are many advantages to having them separate.

Everyone here is about to tell you this:

    1 snake 1 cage.

Snakes are not social animals and, in captivity, need to be housed seperately.

This is especially true of Ball Pythons!

Her hides are the big butter tubs that have been cut down so they're 2.5" tall. The cage is 24"x16"x12" sterilte 66qt. Shes about 24"-26". Is it time to Move her up into a 36"x24"x18". Thats the size of cage that Im gonna make for a permanent home.

No the cage is fine. I don't really know why she's active.. maybe she's just a curious girl. If she doesn't have one, you may want to give her a branch or two to climb on.. (something you buy at the pet store, not something from your yard)
