    How Can I Show You?

One of my co-workers sent me a powerpoint presentation that's 1M and shows a Carpet Python (I think, with my limited knowledge) eating a kangaroo. It's really quite awe inspiring to see.

How could I share it with you guys?

You can google that sequence - I know I have seen it hosted on several sites across the net (and doesnt require power point be installed to see).

Give me a few and I'll hunt it down.

    Googled (Image search): +kangaroo +snake (+'s -'s and "'s rule for searching)

    http://images.google.com/images?hl=e...ke&sa=N&tab=wi

well that's a piecemeal overview I'll try to narrow it down and find the site that has it laid out complete in sequence

It is an Amethystine (Scrub) python (we have an avatar of one here biting a guy on the face).

Thanks for the link! I thought it was pretty amazing to see it! And thanks for the correction on the species! Here I was all proud at work telling folks "That's a Carpet Python!" LOL

Re: How Can I Show You?

that kangaroo must have just died or something cause unless the snake fell out of a tree and managed to then take that kangaroo down, how the hell did that snake catch it?
Ringer Ball Python - (Basil, named after Alex's snake in A Clockwork Orange)
"The snake, Basil, was introduced into the film by Stanley Kubrick when he found out Malcolm McDowell had a fear of reptiles."

    Love thine ambush predators.

I dont know the particulars - maybe it was a pk kangaroo - maybe f/t hehehehe. It's possible it was already dead. Equally possible it wasn't dead and was ruminating etc - I doubt highly it swiped it out of the air as it bounced past at full tilt - but you'd be amazed how fast some of the larger snakes can strike.
