Re: Adelita - 2019 Hypo Sonoran
They also reduced the image quality unless you were a vip member about a year and a half ago. It’s really a pretty crappy app aside from the ease with which you can upload (pixelated and few) photos unless you pay a fee. I sprung for a lifetime membership for $15 end of 2019. Still have times when the app is acting like total garbage and I can’t upload anything at all... I guess I’ve wasted more money on stupider things though.

Re: Adelita - 2019 Hypo Sonoran
Yeah, there was another image quality reduction recently for free users recently. It rolled out with an update a few months back and you actually wouldn't be able to upload photos at all unless you updated the app. Free users can't upload anything larger than a medium photo now, on top of the image cap.
I'm really hoping they don't make photo uploads a VIP-exclusive thing. I don't do paid apps. If anything, I'd much rather put that money towards supporting the forum directly, instead of some third-party hosting app.

Re: Adelita - 2019 Hypo Sonoran
Getting size update photos of Adelita is always a bit of a production. She never wants to sit still!
She's put on 45g of bulk since mid-December, but has only grown about an inch. It definitely looks and feels more like she's muscled up than anything else.

That is a damn good looking animal. I still feel like my boas haven’t grown at all, but it’s the glacial pace at which they do that makes it seem imperceptible. Give it another year and you’ll look back and be astonished how much she’s grown. Love seeing updates on your critters. Very clearly well cared for.

Re: Adelita - 2019 Hypo Sonoran
Took Adelita into the home office to enjoy a bit of sunshine. She only has a few more days of office privileges before the Papuan claims it as their quarantine room.
I've noticed that she actually has a few lines of creased scales along her body, particularly along her neck. Part of it is because she likes to curl up tight on her heat. I think another part, though, is that she's actually carrying a bit more fat that I think/her overall body condition lets on. She does feel a little softer along her back than her abs/belly. Perhaps a little more active exercise and spacing between meals will help her tone up.

Personally, I'd forgive her. It must be that little bit of motion & realism when prey is offered by tongs. I know what you mean, I have a few snakes that are like that, & with mine, it appears that they have poor vision & missed the class on snakes having a great sense of smell, so being offered from tongs is what mine need too. I prefer to feed from tongs anyway, so it's no problem.
