What else could I possibly do?

Going on the 3rd time my variegata won't take any food. I've tried overnight, the blow dryer method, ordered from Rodent Pro, pretty damn sure all husbandry is great....Would love any advice or how long anybody has gone without a snake eating. Thanks all.

One of our BP's went 8 months, and then started eating again when she felt like it. She was perfectly fine the whole time. Just didn't want to eat.

My younger BP did a 3 month fast over winter.

My almost 2 year old ball python recently started eating again after going on a fast for about 6 months. Feels good when they start eating again. I hate wasting food and no boa big enough to take them.

To keep her lean and not gain too much weight, would you recommend feeding twice a month? That is the plan so far.

Unless your snake is a neonate or very young, there is usually nothing to ever worry about when they refuse food.

I have a coastal carpet that was a very on and off eater. She would routinely go 3 months without eating. We have a royal here that's gone over 7 months, then she ate and went 9 months without eating again.

Carpets, and really any species can have sporadic episodes of feeding and skipping.

If there are no external factors that are causing issues, the snake will decide when to eat and when not to eat.

Interesting now, it's been five days without passing food. Should I be worried? He ate Friday afternoon...Thanks!

Is 6 days without passing the meal a worry?

No. When your snake has a BM it's not passing its most recent meal, it's passing the one that was 2-3 meals ago. Since your snake didn't eat for a while there's nothing to pass yet.
