First Carpets
I'm getting a Jungle Jag and a Tiger Coastal in few weeks. These are my first Carpets, have Bloods and Retics. They are less than a year old so when I get them, they'll be going in a rack with v35 tubs. My main question was I was thinking of getting a 6x2x2 pvc enclosure and dividing it for awhile for them. Then when they are older using the 6x2 for the Coastal female and getting a 4x2 for the male. Does this make sense, good sizes tubs for their forever home? I like pvc enclosures best but use racks for for young snakes and Bloods till they get to be adults. I could add a v70 rack system but I kind of got the Carpets for their arboreal traits and racks don't exactly let me enjoy that. I'll do whichever is best though.

Congrats on your upcoming Carpets!
It sounds like you answered your own question. Basically use whatever works for you as well as the snake. Carpets use however much space you give them and they are fairly good as a display animal. Sounds like you figured it out and have a good plan in the works.

Re: First Carpets
I agree with you and Reinz. Splitting the 6 footer until they're older is a great idea. Tubs are fine when they're younger if you want to use them.

Re: First Carpets
My Darwin is in a 4x2x2 and it already seems small. For those sizes it seems like you will be good for some time. Good luck and shoot everyone some photos. Carpets are the bomb.

Re: First Carpets
So I’ve got those two and they killed their first meal no hesitation. Which I really like. And now I’m apparently getting 9 more😳 on Saturday. That escalated quickly.

Where'd you get the racks they're laying on?
Look great btw!

You could always go by "Wall to Wall Carpets"?
