I have a mouser that is big enough to eat rat weanlings but only takes mice. About the same size as yours, but less than a year old.

Finicky mousers are gonna grow slow. If you haven't read Justin Kobylkas article on picky eaters, do that next.

Every snake is different. I've got one that strikes the side of her tub when she sees me holding a dead rat in tongs. I've got another bigger one that hides from anything as big as a small rat. And I've got a mouser that is just going to take forever to get to breeder size.

But hey, if we didn't want the feeding work we'd just get boas or burms right? Then the work part comes in cleaning up after a huge poop.
