What enclosure?

I really want a columbian RTB. I would like to get a male, the smaller size is appealing. What are the dimensions of an appropriate enclosure? How long does it take a RTB to reach basically "full size"? Do they make plastic tubs big enough, or are we talking only high dollar custom jobs? The care sheets lead me to believe that the care is basically the same as a BP, am I right here, or way off? Thankyou all for your help.

I've seen 7' 25lb male colombian boas.

6' x 2' cage. Small males can live in a 4'.

You can get a 4.5' tub from reptiletubs.com. I'm using one for my dumerils boa. You can also buy nice cages from boaphileplastics.com

It's similar to BP care, just BIGGER.

Well all I can say is Rauri is barely 2 years old and 6 feet long. Not sure of his actual current weight but he's very girthy and incredibly strong though thank goodness extremely nice natured. He eats very well on jumbo rats or small baby meat bunnies and is still growing it seems LOL.

Becky just found a great deal at WalMart on huge tubs in the Xmas tree section (see other thread she did on this). Of course a baby would need a much smaller first home but if you can grab a huge tub and tuck it away that's always a good deal.

How big would the snake have to be before this type of tub is needed?
I have read that little snakes + small enclosures = nervous snakes. So what should I put a baby red-tail in for starters, 10 gal, 20 gal? Your opinions are greatly appreciated.

Boaphile is a pain to deal with.. Take a look at this

I had absolutely no trouble with boaphile.. got it within a week.
