    Zoo Med Dimmable Clamp Lamp

I’m not sure if this has been mentioned here before but I have one of thesehttps://www.amazon.com/Zoo-Med-Delux...gateway&sr=8-1 and it was actually cheaper in my local pet store than one without a dimmer switch (go figure). It’s not hard to buy a dimmer yourself but it was a nice option to have.

It’s great they finally have this.
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

Maybe someday the chain stores will start selling tstats too.

Nice to see ZooMed adding to it!

Not all the stores carry Flukers brand or all of the types of dome lamps they offer, but they have had a dimmable version of both of their sizes for a while now.

I've been seeing thermostats in store for a while, but they're usually the Zilla on/off with a dial that is harder to adjust (and very expensive) or the ExoTerra 100W on/off tstat. PetCo seems to carry them more reliably than PetSmart does, but I've seen one or the other at both stores.

It would he helpful if employees pushed people to buy and use them though...

Yeah, I've seen them at one or the other, I forget which. I just remember it was at a location I hadn't been to prior. Neither of my "hometown" stores carry them.

But exactly, if new keepers are coming in and asking for snake setups a tstat should be on top of the list of items the store clerks mention.

Maybe even the packaging for heating equipment should have a giant warning on it.

But, with just a few minutes of research new keepers would know how important tstats are. It's a shame many people think reading a care sheet or two is adequate research.
