Peters Banded Skink bad rash? - URGENT
Hey y’all, we have recently added a peter’s Banded skink to our collection and he seems to be acting pretty normal. The day we got him, he shed and loved his enclosure. However he started having some pretty irritated looking toes and legs (kinda red like a rash but looked super irritated). I’ve been gone for about a week and my girlfriend sent me a picture of him and his legs are very red, around his nostril is slightly red and his underbelly (normally completely white) now has red spots/scales all over it and does not look good at all. The vet we normally take our reptiles to isn’t an exotics only vet and with the PBS being so new to the pet trade, I’m afraid they won’t know what to do. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

After a little bit of researching on google it potentially looks like Septicaemia (blood poisoning). Although not very sure at all, still any help would be appreciated

While I appreciate your confidence in us here on the forum, it would be inappropriate for us to try to diagnose the issue online: we aren't even seeing the animal
in question, & you'd be surprised how differently people often describe the very same things, whether symptoms or colors or sizes... You might be right, that it's
some sort of bacterial infection...or what about a burn? Anyway, you really need the help of a vet, ok? All the best...let us know how things turn out?
And if you need some options for the right vet, try this:

(The other thing we aren't seeing or getting here is all the necessary information about his caging.)

Yeah this was a shot in the dark and I knew that. No vets in central Kentucky will see us for at least another week and there’s only one “true” exotics vet and they said “maybe next Saturday.”

Pics and complete housing information would help us... but ultimately you should plan to see the vet.
