    Good Guys Cold Blooded Cafe

I placed an order with Cold Blooded Café recently because my local mouse & rat suppliers have been running a bit short since one of the larger vendors in the area folded last year, and they're having a special sale on jumbo rats. I also picked up smalls and mediums.

The order shipped on a Monday, arrived Wednesday with everything still frozen solid and well-packaged in thick plastic bags, and the feeders looked and smelled clean.

I fed off 5 small rats and 3 jumbo rats so far, and the smalls are all 65-80 grams so they were on the higher side of their advertised weight of 40-84 grams. The jumbos ranged from 300-350 grams, so they were well within their advertised weight of 275-375 grams.

    http://www.ColdBloodedCafe.com/ is their web site.

I might give these guys a shot. Their prices seem pretty good but how is their packaging and feeder quality compared to Perfect Prey or Big Cheese?

I can't speak for the packaging of the other two companies since I've never ordered from them. The rodents from CBC were double-bagged, and the sealable bags were the thick, heavy plastic like you would normally use for metal parts that have sharp edges that could puncture or slice the bag open. Also removing just one or two rodents from the bag was easy; sometimes removing a few is difficult because the rodent tails get wrapped around each other, or the rodents are damp and then stick together once frozen.

The feeder weights were well within the advertised range, without all being at the low end or high end. They were intact, no signs of injuries/illness/mange/sores/growths/etc., and they smelled like rat but not rat urine or rotting rat like you can get when the bags thaw and are re-frozen.
