    Interesting sight at Petco today

Stopped there to pick up some supplies, and I always check out what reptiles are there. Couldn't believe how this baby normal was perched up.

Considering the thermometer is only reading 70ish degrees, the poor thing is probably trying to escape the cold cage.

Excellent example of why you shouldn't use those sticky thermometers. If one of those comes unstuck under the weight of the snake, it could easily get stuck to the poor thing. And guaranteed most employees wouldn't know how to get it off safely...

This is why most of us try not to look...it's so much harder when they seem to be saying "Get me OUTA here!"

We silicone those in place so they won't come off. Just an FYI lol. I still hate them.

The problem with doing that is then people buy them unaware that they should be securing them with something other than the sticky on the back.

I agree. Which is why I have trained all my people to not recommend them and if they see people with them to tell them no and why.
